Handmade JCA Needle Treasures Merry Christmas Needlepoint Plaque Bear 12X14 New

Description

Up for auction is a completed and finished Needlepoint Wall Hanging for Christmas Season.  It is just charming! It shows a teddy bear with a tree and children's toys nearby. There is even a train. The embroidery features a large bow at the top with holly and at the bottom it reads Merry Christmas!
It is completely finished. All around the sides is red piping. All it needs is some type of a hook added to the back to hang.
The size is 12" x 14 1/2"
On the back there is a label indicating that this hand crafted model was made for the JCA Needle Treasures Collection.  The kit number is shown as #36840.  The "3" at the beginning means it might have been the first sample made which was used to take a photo that went on to the kit packages.  Also it indicates that this needlepoint was done with 100% wool yarn probably from Elsa Williams.  All the kits from this company are made in the United States as they indicate on all their kit packages.
Included in this listing is a picture of the kit which indicates it was designed by Michael A. LeClair and the  title is Bearly Christmas Plaque. This picture of the kit is shown for reference only as this needlepoint does not come with a kit.
This was a hand crafted model that woul
d have been on display in a store to show the prospective buyers how the item will look when finished.
I  learned recently that the name on many of these finished pieces identified the company as JCA Inc. with an address in Massachusettes. They evidently ceased operations and will not be making/distributing anymore needlecraft kits. These finished piece from kits are already hard to find and will only be offered occasionally perhaps on the internet. Per the JCA website:
"Due to the death of our owner, Alan S. Getz, JCA, Inc. has ceased operations indefinitely.
We would like to thank our loyal customers who have supported JCA for over 50 years.
JCA manufactures premium needlecraft products and distributes fine knitting yarns. We are an amalgamation of three companies-Paternayan Brothers (started in 1939), Elsa Williams (started in 1960) and Reynolds Yarns (also started in 1960)."
